maya's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- happy holidays well hello everyone. what a pleasant surprise... I haven't written in a long time.. yes i'm still around and yes i'm still very much active. Anyway - the holidays have been going very well. I was in New York over Xmas plus a couple of days before and after. I had a real swell time. Got to hang out with my sister and melanie. It was real laid back and i finally got to see from atop the empire state building. Yeah - that was pretty cool. On Xmas day itself mel and i [after detaching ourselves from the TV] decided to walk around Central Park and I can't begin to describe how cold it was ... but i think we ended up in Times Square and I ended up buying 5 CD's for $25 at the Virgin Megastore [including the new Sick of It All which i'm listening to now] The difference with my trip to NYC this time around was that I got to see the area's I don't really go see - i usually find myself hanging around St. Marks Place and that area there... my sister's ex bf use to live around there and i remember how he lived next door to sammy of y.o.t and civ.. haaaa... and i'd wait desperately to get a glimpse of him =P Whatever..but anyway .. i miss my sister cause it just makes me feel old .. that maybe one day one of us could marry and then..it'd just all be.. different..I feel bad cause she spent a whole lot on me there and it wasan't intentional or anything it was just that I was there and she just so happens to have EVEYRTHING delivered to her and 'walking' doesn't exist in her vocabulary so whenever i was with her we'd take cabs..though i must say mel and i have gotten pretty good with the subway in the city. anyway...lalala... now i'm back in baltimore.. it's dead .. like REAL dead here. At least i have melanie in the other room so it's not completely dead. we were suppose to go to the embassy function for hari raya in DC but our ride *ehem* backed out so instead we cooked lunch for 'the guys' and then after we followed brian to the airport to pick a friend of his off - dropped her off - went grocery shopping - had him cook for us at his apt [great view of baltimore! fuck] and i finally watched GLADIATOR though it wasan't really "watching" the movie since i'd make so many comments at EVErYTHINg. don't ever watch a movie with me. Anyway.... i can't sleep.. tomorrow i'm picking up my TV and VCR ... woo. I hope to see carol tomorrow and dennis on friday [i've missed him!] and as for New Years Eve and New Years..fuck if i knew.. i had my partying last year/.. blah blah blah..this is boring... haa..if u read this far then good for you..... i'm going to bed.... 3:08 AM - 2000-12-28 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
